Aspergillus Galactomannan Rapid Test Cassette
Aspergillus Galactomannan Rapid Test Cassette is a rapid chromatographic immunoassay for the qualitative detection of Aspergillus Galactomannan antigen in human serum in vitro. The test results are intended to aid in the diagnosis of Aspergillus Galactomannan infection in people.
Galactomannan is a component of the cell wall of Aspergillus, which is released into the external environment as the mold grows. Detecting the presence of galactomannan in human blood has been used to diagnose invasive Aspergillus infection.
The detection of galactomannan in Aspergillus, also known as GM experiment, is mainly aimed at early diagnosis of invasive Aspergillus infection. GM detects galactomannan, a polysaccharide widely present in the cell walls of Aspergillus and Penicillium. When the fungal cell wall surface hyphae grow, galactomannan is released from the weak hyphal tip and is the earliest antigen released, which can be detected through immunoassay methods.
