Syphilis, commonly known as bayberry sores or willow diseases, is a chronic infectious disease caused by Treponema pallidum (TP). It is mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse, and a very small number of patients transmit it through kissing, breastfeeding, or receiving daily items that cause infectious damage to the patient. It can be transmitted from the mother to the fetus.
